Would you like to get involved with SCARF? See more information below on how you can become a member of SCARF, contribute to one of our programs by volunteering or supporting our work by making a donation.

Membership

Membership of SCARF is open to all people and corporations who are interested in the Association’s aims and objectives.

Active involvement in decision making is open to all those who are fully paid up members of the Association.

Our GST inclusive membership fees are:
- Annual Membership: $20 (individual) or $30 (family)

- Students/pension card holders/refugee community members: $10

Corporations are invited to support the work of SCARF through sponsorships and/or membership: - Annual membership: $60

Volunteering

To realise its vision SCARF relies on the generosity of private and corporate citizens including the involvement of a large team of volunteers. Volunteers can assist in a variety of ways:

Mentoring a family or individual
Participating in the Home Tutor program for Primary School students
Participating in the Homework Help program for High School students (sessions currently held in Wollongong Library Theatrette)
Participating in the Improve Your English home tutoring for adults
Contributing to our program development through membership

We are always looking for new volunteers. To assist newly arrived refugee entrants SCARF needs volunteers with a range of skills and you may be able to make a very worthwhile contribution. If you are interested and want to discuss your possible role please contact SCARF before completing a Volunteer Application Form.

Donations

SCARF relies solely on the generosity of our members and supporters to finance all of our programs and activities.

SCARF is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.
