We love our community markets because it is a time and place where we can share our culture and experiences through food with the broader community. Providing opportunities for people within the greater community to socialise and learn from each other.

Want to get your hands on more of our fabulous traditional cuisine?

Then head on down to the Kiama farmer’s market where our Traditional Ethiopian Cuisine will be selling ready to eat curries and stews, great for the upcoming cooler weather.

When: 3pm – 6pm every Wednesday
Where: Black Beach, Kiama Harbour, Kiama.

Wild Rumpus Cooking ClassKiama Farmers' Market

With the huge success of our first cooking class late last year (Burmese Noodles by Hat Zaw Variety Rice), we will be working with Wild Rumpus again to provide an Ethiopian Vegetarian Curries cooking class in April.

Our talented cook from Ethiopian Dishes will be teaching the class how to make a beetroot and potato curry and a red lentil curry. Once the hands on demonstration is complete participants are able to taste the curries which will be served according to traditional Ethiopian custom.

We are very excited to announce the establishment of a new catering business under SCARF Catering. Berhanu, the caterer, has recently arrived in Australia from Ethiopia where he worked as a chef in the 4-5 star hotels and in the international embassies.

Dagem Deli Food offers al a carte food crafted with a world palate with Berhanu’s expertise being European dishes with a slight Ethiopian twist, perfect for those celebratory dinners and work functions.
